How it works

How our Certification services work

  1. Enroll

Select your preferred class date and complete registration online.

  1. Learn at Your Pace

  1. Flexible Learning

Complete 60 hours of online training on your schedule—access available day or night. We recommend 6 hours a day.

  1. Hands-On Training

Join our in-person clinical sessions (16 hours total) on Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

  1. State Examination

Return the following Monday to take your required state exam.

  1. Certification

After passing, we handle all paperwork submission to the NJ Board of Nursing for your official certification.

  1. Career Support

We'll fix your resume and connect you with our trusted partner agencies that are hiring.

Qualifications to Become a CHHA

Complete a home health aide training program approved by the NJ Board of Nursing.

Successfully pass a competency evaluation conducted by a licensed home healthcare agency in NJ.


Be at least 18 years old.

Hold a valid and current certification from the NJ Board of Nursing as a Home Health Aide.

Be employed by a licensed home health care service.


Work under the supervision of a professional registered nurse.


NJ HHA certifications expire every two years and must be renewed.


After certification, your name will be listed in the online directory of Certified Home Health Aides, accessible to the public for license verification purposes.
